— The short version

I build software that keeps working offlinewhen the network doesn’t, reads Arabic RTLas a first language, and refuses to make things up zero fabrication— then stays with it all the way to production.

Selected work · 2025 — 2026

Shipped,
not slideware.

Five systems, chosen for what they prove: AI that runs where the data lives, architecture that holds its shape, and interfaces that speak Arabic natively.

Institutional systems · Syrian Private University

One university.
Five systems.

Where I teach is also where I build: the public website, live room operations, the question bank, correspondence and admissions — each Arabic-first, each in daily use or on its way there.

Inside the machine · Rased

Six stages.
One machine.

How a raw video becomes something you can ask questions of — without a single request leaving the server. Choose a stage.

Stage 01 / 06

Ingest

Folder watcher · ffprobe

Watched folders are scanned on a schedule. Each new file is probed and queued — one job per stage, so a failure re-runs one step, not the whole video.

Output → Duration, streams, resolution

Experience

Where I work now.

AI for government and research by day, software and teaching at the university — the same engineering discipline in three very different rooms.

How I build

Principles that show up in the code.

Not values on a slide — each one is a decision you can find in a repository above.

  • 01Mentanora · Bousla

    Boundaries a machine can check

Clean Architecture and DDD, enforced — import-linter forbids the shortcuts, modules talk through typed contracts, and invariants are tested with the database switched off.

  • 02Rased · Shaheen

AI runs where the data lives

Whisper, Gemma and bge models on the customer’s own hardware via llama.cpp — verified by checksum, no telemetry, no cloud fallback.

  • 03MDSS · Shaheen · Bousla

    Refusal over fabrication

Typed refusals instead of weak answers. Numbers computed, never generated. Evidence labelled REAL, SYNTHETIC or NOT BUILT. Sacred text kept byte-exact.

  • 04Every product here

    Arabic is not a translation

Right-to-left from the first wireframe: Arabic stemming in search, Arabic conflict explanations, Arabic PDFs, and identities that feel local — not a mirrored English UI.

  • 05Across the stack

    Secure by default

`__Host-` cookies, rotating JWT with blacklist, mandatory admin 2FA, short-lived signed media URLs, append-only audits, HSTS and hash-pinned CSP — this site included.

  • 06Production deployments

    Shipped means operated

Docker and Caddy on real servers, health checks, Windows and macOS desktop installers, and upgrade paths that never ask users to reconfigure.

Lecturer · Syrian Private University

Teaching

I teach the way I build: start from a real problem, model the domain, write the test, ship the system. Students leave with working software and the judgement behind it.

Practice · Architecture · Foundations that transfer

Project supervisor · Syrian Private University

Supervision

Guiding graduation projects from proposal to defence — scoping what matters, choosing an architecture that survives contact with users, and getting it in front of real people.

The wider body of work

More systems,
briefly.

  • 01Digital Identity

    Flutter · Kiosk · 2026

An exhibition kiosk that registers visitors and issues a digital ID card: an interactive tumbling-E vision test, in-app camera, touch-panel fingerprint capture with an optional signed on-device match, SHA-256-derived IDs and a QR code that resolves to the card itself.

  • 02Qarea

    Flutter · Offline reader · 2026

An Arabic-first offline library and PDF reader for phones, tablets and Android TV — progressive rendering, two-page spreads in landscape, real covers from page one, full remote control, and atomic JSON metadata instead of a database.

  • 03Basma

    Flutter · Exhibition questionnaire · 2026

An owner-authored questionnaire kiosk: departments, questions and scoring are created on the device, results are normalised so no department wins by larger point values, and publishing is blocked until the content is valid.

  • 04Factory ERP

    Laravel 11 · ERP · 2026

Distribution and shipping for a factory: inventory, CRM with credit limits, a state-machine order lifecycle, trucks and manifests, invoicing and P&L — 180 passing tests, 99 routes, scheduled overdue and low-stock alerts.

  • 05Restaurant Suite

    Django + PySide6 · 2026

A full restaurant operation in Arabic: tables and sessions, orders and payments, HR and payroll, accounting, inventory, investors and receipt printing, behind JWT and five operational roles.

  • 06Retail ERP with ML

    C# · ASP.NET · Accord.NET · 2025

A three-tier ERP for suppliers, customers, sales, inventory and stock, with machine learning built in: time-series demand forecasting, churn prediction, customer clustering and segmentation, and product recommendations — ASP.NET MVC and Web API over SQL Server.

  • 07Commerce Monorepo

    Flutter · Melos · 2025

A customer app and admin web app on one Clean-Architecture monorepo, split into feature packages — auth, catalog, cart, checkout, orders, reviews, promotions — with CI pipelines.
